An Exploration of Customizing Options in the Studio...

Earlier this fall I began working on this project for a sweet Cranberry Bog, Family Farm and Wedding Venue in Middleborough, MA.

I began working with a new clay body, ordered a custom stamp, and a new glaze. there was some trial and error.

Much of the errors pointed to the style of stamp used. I initially order a stamp made for ceramic work but after a month of no updates or returned contact I ordered from a different provider in order to get the project underway. Then it turned into two, and a lesson about graphics & proofing.

while the original stamp did eventually arrive and I was able to make a fired sample and I quite like the results!

In the midths of this project I have also been expanding the custom options for my love mugs which I will roll out for 2025.

I also started on a new batch of test tiles with this new clay body and I am looking forward to getting those finished up!

Currently my push in the studio is wrapping up old projects, I have been prepping for a resin pour and finishing jewelry up for a couple of winter sales to help fund my next if project.

My next big challenge getting my kiln up and running, and giving it a little tune-up so it’s ready to fire in the new year!
